About Rory
Hi! I'm Rory, a 20 year old about to start at the University of Leeds. I've always been a natural with STEM, it can flow like a language if you teach yourself right. Having ADHD, the school system was never built for me meaning I had to develop my own methods to succeed. My other interests are music, I've been in many bands and part of musical projects and aspire to be in more. I love to teach, I hope I can make someone understand a topic in a new way that helps them see the rest just as easily too.

School never worked for me as it never explained how anything actually worked. Memorisation can only get you so far, understanding the core principles builds a foundation that can always be returned to in the structure of Maths and Physics. I teach by breaking down concepts to the abstract point, which helps test and build your intelligence. From there once it is understood, we'll work on expanding out into cases you can see in your exams.
At 6th form, I'd frequently help out students after lessons and turn a confusing 50 minutes into a simple 5 minutes. I'm ready to start tutoring at a low cost and variable time of 30 min or more for GCSE and A-Level students aiming for top grades.
