Weiyue is a humble girl willing to help others learn with a spirit of kindness and inquiry. Whenever I met difficulties in chemistry studies, the first person I would ask for help from was Weiyue. She always tries her best to help me understand the concepts clearly. She leads me step by step to the final answer patiently instead of directly giving me the answer like many other classmates. She invariably researches every detail encountered in her chemistry studies, just like how she helps others. For instance, our teacher once mentioned the phenomena of the varying oxidation states of manganese during the oxidation of organic molecules but did not explain it further since it is not in the syllabus. Surprisingly, in our discussion a few weeks later, I found that Weiyue had already done her research. She then analyzed and explained each step of MnO3+ attacking rings and side chains as well as the variation of oxidation states of manganese during this process to me with great patience. Moreover, during our discussions, she showed great passion for chemistry and worked hard to affect others to have better opinions about chemistry, which she always regarded as a splendid subject.
