About Cameron
Music connects us to our roots. I teach because playing is a conversation. My childhood was filled with Quebecois fiddle tunes and acoustic strings.
I hold a BA in Ethnomusicology from UCLA. Working with 325 students has refined my approach to teaching guitar. I focus on kids and teens who want to enjoy the instrument.
I still remember the first time I learned a song by ear from an elder. That feeling dictates how I structure my sessions. Feel free to reach out if you want to chat about music.

Ever wonder how to make a barre chord sound clean without straining your hand? I prioritize rhythm guitar and strumming patterns from the very first minute. Beginners learn to listen for the groove.
We use tabs only after the ear has captured the essence of the melody. Improvisation is just a different way of speaking. Five years of experience means I know exactly when to slow down.
