About Lynn

I am a dedicated piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, working with high school students, college students, and adults. Over the years, I have successfully taught around 300 students and helped them grow in skill, confidence, and musical understanding.

My teaching philosophy is based on clear learning, patience, and steady improvement. I believe that learning piano should be enjoyable and well-organised. Every student is different, so I adjust my teaching style to match their learning speed, goals, and interests. I focus on helping students truly understand music instead of only memorising lessons.

In my classes, I emphasise strong fundamentals such as posture, hand position, finger technique, rhythm, and sight-reading. I also teach basic music theory in a simple way so students can connect it to their playing. I often use real songs and examples to make lessons practical and interesting.

One of my notable achievements is helping students build confidence and consistency in practice. Many learners have progressed from beginners to confident players through regular guidance.

My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning space where students feel motivated to improve and enjoy their piano journey.

About the lesson

My piano teaching approach is focused on clear communication, flexibility, and practical understanding. I believe students learn best when lessons are explained in a simple and friendly way. I take time to understand each student’s goals, whether they want to learn piano for exams, performances, worship music, or personal enjoyment. Lessons are planned according to the student’s level and learning speed.

I adapt my teaching methods to suit different learning styles. Visual learners benefit from demonstrations, auditory learners improve through listening exercises, and practical learners gain confidence through guided practice. I use real-life examples such as popular songs, daily practice situations, and live performance cases to help students understand how piano skills are used in real life.

Along with piano playing, I teach music theory, rhythm training, scales, chords, sight reading, ear training, and basic harmony. Students also learn correct posture, finger technique, and effective practice habits. My goal is to help students enjoy piano learning while building strong musical foundations.
