About Jamie
Music and culture is everything to me, there is no me without music. I enjoy helping people flourish with joy through learning music theory and practical music making. I have real deep passion and knowledge for music theory, as I took it all the way to Grade 8 (ABRSM)! Many people and musicians alike struggle with music theory and I really enjoy helping them put the pieces together. To date, I have performed in 21 Musical Theatre productions since 2014, either as Musical Director, Assistant Musical Director or on Piano/Keyboards. Lyceum Theatre, Sheffield and Montgomery Theatre Sheffield etc. I perform professionally with bands Sound of The Crowd and Jazz Manifesto available across the United Kingdom. As well as a teacher, I am also available as an accompanist for all settings and requirements. ABRSM exams through to Weddings in the UK.

A specialist in the teaching of Music Theory, all exam boards, and GCSE and A Level papers. I teach all disciplines from improvisation, songwriting to the traditional grade routes. ABRSM, Trinity and Rock School etc. I place emphasis on enjoyment and fast progression for all. I offer an initial 20-minute free consultation lesson to find out exactly what you need and what you are hoping to gain from the tuition and in what timeframe. Learning for leisure is of course encouraged too. A specialist in the teaching of Music Theory and Piano. I uniquely hold ABRSM Grade VIII Theory of music so I am able to expertly teach all levels of music theory - Fast Track your learning to achieve exam success for all grades! I offer piano, ukulele, guitar, classical piano, jazz piano, popular music piano, piano accompaniment, musical theatre, keyboard, music theory, National Curriculum Key Stage 1, Key Stage 2, GCSE, A-level, and Degree level performance/recital. Also ABRSM Music Theory Grade 1 through to 8. I am fully enhanced DBS checked through the Musicians Union. All types of learning are encouraged, from the exam routes to the casual learner.
