About Chelsea
Hi, I'm Chelsea.
I'm a writer and private tutor with a passion for critical thinking, effective communication, making difficult concepts accessible, and creating safe environments for exploration and expression.
I am driven by the positive impact that a few key teachers had on me in my schooling career. An effective, caring teacher can make or break your relationship with learning. And a good relationship with learning serves us far beyond our school years. I aspire to inspire a thirst for knowledge and skill acquisition in young minds, as well as the ability to maintain them.
I explain concepts in multiple ways until something clicks, and I pay close attention to exactly where understanding breaks down so we can address it at the root rather than the surface. But passing the next test is only part of what we're working toward. My lessons are designed to build critical thinking, logical reasoning, and genuine confidence.

Teaching students to think critically and holistically, not only to pass the next test. My lessons are built around the CAPS curriculum but go beyond it. With each session, we enhance critical thinking, problem-solving, confidence, and the kind of logical reasoning that serves students long after the exam is over.
What sets me apart is my ability to explain any topic in myriad ways. No two brains are the same. If a student doesn't understand something, it likely has more to do with the explanation given than their ability to comprehend it.
