With my 35 years of expert international teaching, I'm passionate about supporting my learners progress and their ultimate success with higher level, transformative pedagogical practices!

I effectively help those who are seeking personal communication enhancement, academic development and/or professional advancement in their chosen careers or in preparation for seeking a new career!

My English Language Education training, teaching credentials, international experience (in both English and French languages), instructional skills set and professional, yet joyful and fun personality are appreciated and have been richly valued! I will happily support you towards improving your English or French language conversational skills and your confidence levels to achieve your goals!

Fortunately, I’ve studied, taught and consulted in the exciting and deeply rewarding fields of English Language Learning, French, Fine Arts and Visual Arts, in Japan (7 years), Malta (2 years), France (4 years), the Czech Republic (3 years), the U.S. and Vancouver/Canada (15 + years)!

Having been described as a “gifted educator, stellar facilitator, challenging guide and transformative academic mentor,” I’m passionately dedicated to the success of my international learners and optimumly focused on the fulfillment of their academia and career goals, through effective pedagogical practices, collaborative, cultural awareness experiences, with REAL, authentic, dedicated, professional support, within an animated, learner-centered and motivated, sensitive classroom climate, in small groups or private, personalized, tailored-to-your-specific-needs sessions.

As a professional, International ESL Specialist and Arts Educator, it’s my sincere objective to ignite, challenge and empower my learners along their quest towards improving their communicative abilities, confidence levels and skills set, through purposeful personal and group interaction and an emphasis on challengingly engaging classroom studies, community activities and cultural exchange, in a relaxed, but productive atmosphere of learning, practice and demonstration!

Having been immersed in diverse cultural dynamics, amassing an acute awareness, ardent appreciation and savvy understanding of humanity, along the way, I recognize our need for improved global connectedness and improved communication skills – a journey which begins by effectively educating our youth, via impassioned, dedicated, stellar educators, who genuinely care.

In addition to earning my International TESL/TEFL, CELTA certifications and DELTA - Masters level diploma, in the field of ESL, I’ve achieved my CTDP Adult Education Teaching Specialist, through OISE, along with my IELTS Examiner Certification. I've been speaking French since early childhood and have taught French and Fine Art in Canada and in Europe/France for several years with the Peel Board of Education and privately, online and in-person!

I’ve created curriculum, designed programming and taught at all levels, from elementary to university, including Master level classes and in adult/corporate arenas! I possess the versatility, confidence, maturity and pedagogical skills to successfully support and instruct at all levels and in almost any subject area.

Having earned a further Art History Specialist degree after my B.A. and Teacher Certification from U of T, with Fine Art and Visual Arts Education qualifications, I’m uniquely qualified to teach both English Language Studies and the Arts.

While, I’ve enjoyed teaching with all the rewards it has afforded me worldwide, both professionally and personally, I’d like to now focus my efforts on empowering learners in more tangible ways – supporting and guiding them in their quests to advance their life goals and improve their career skill sets, by influencing them to make more effective learning connections, affording them with broader challenges and more profoundly rich, international experiences, in a holistic approach to life learning and personal development!

I’m a dedicated and empowered professional educator who is admired for my advanced pedagogical training, international teaching experience and higher education methodologies, adeptly orchestrated classroom management skills and a unique approach to student-centred learning, in a relaxed atmosphere of goal-setting and productivity.

Passion
The most important of the “Three Ps" is passion and loving what I do best – teaching! I possess an overriding motivation for self-improvement and I’m driven to improve English language education practices, supporting learners and educators to succeed like NEVER before, with my vibrant energy, expertise and enthusiasm for effective communication, in a joyful setting of collaboration and positivism!

A sense of humour and laughter in the learning environment are also motivators; therefore, I encourage the use of those optimizers in my classroom climate. Seeing smiles, hearing joyful banter in a productive way is a good sign - enhancing English language study efficacy, stimulating natural conversation and its ongoing practice between learners and beyond!

The passion I devote to my teaching craft, my colourful personality, diplomacy, integrity, international life/travel experience, creatively collaborative spirit, insightful sensibilities, motivational inspiration, attention to detail, organizational skills, keen listening and observational capacity, respect for various perspectives and diverse ideologies, ethno-cultural appreciation, multi-lingual ability (French, Czech, Polish and Japanese) and poised, professional manner, whole heartedly contributes to the overall learning process, progress and success of my international learners and I know it will also help you!

As past founding director and owner of three small, but successful, international language education ventures abroad and having worked in the field of education for over 35 years, in educational consulting, corporate arenas, management and training roles, my interpersonal abilities, collaborative and motivational skills, public speaking and presentation prowess are honed, fortifying me to accept challenges with relaxed confidence and efficacy.

Constantly eager to expand the breadth and depth of my knowledge and experience, coupled with an active lifestyle, insatiable curiosity and adventurous spirit, “Carpe Diem” aptly defines my approach to life.

It’s because I reach for excellence in all I do and all I aspire to achieve, that I’m exceedingly pleased to present my contribution, creativity, conviction and commitment to you.
