About Leanna

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Alberta and have a strong academic background in chemistry, biology, and related sciences. My experience as both a student and mentor allows me to connect with learners on a personal level, recognizing their challenges and supporting them with patience and clarity. I am passionate about creating a positive learning environment where students feel encouraged and achieve those “aha!” moments. With over a year of mentorship experience, I guide students step by step through academic hurdles, helping them build both knowledge and confidence. Above all, my mission is to inspire students to turn doubts into confidence through patience, professionalism, and care.

About the lesson

My goal is to take concepts that feel daunting and intimidating and turn them into simple, engaging lessons that boost your confidence and set you up for success. As someone who understands the challenges of being a student firsthand, I can provide guidance, support, and strategies that make learning less stressful and more rewarding. My lessons are designed to tailor to students' needs—whether it’s breaking down complex concepts, reviewing assignments, or preparing for an upcoming exam or quiz. In my lessons, I explain topics in a clear and concise manner, review examples, work through practice problems, and provide review summaries for quick reference and review. Through these study techniques, I am here to support, guide, and motivate students to ensure long-term confidence that paves the way for success!
