About Ishita
Hi! I’m Ishita, currently pursuing B.Sc. Applied Psychology (Hons.) at NMIMS University, Mumbai, India. I find myself to be an introspective individual who questions the "why" behind most human occurrences. I feel this is the core reason for my interest in psychology - the unending curiosity. I enjoy sketching, writing, listening to music (mostly indie/alt bands), and drinking lots of Americano! I pay heed to the importance of feelings and the science behind them.
Teaching is something I’m equally passionate about; spreading the knowledge of this subject is truly rewarding for me. I look forward to getting to know my students and building a comfortable rapport with them. I hope to make psychology feel less overwhelming and more intriguing, so you not only enjoy learning it but also change your perspective of the human mind through it!

I dislike traditional methods of learning theories in psychology. Instead, I aim to help my students understand the concept using real-life examples and case discussions to form meaningful associations between practical examples and the theoretical approach. Based on my early teaching experience, learning through intellectual understanding helps students strongly remember concepts for examinations. My current status as a student sets me apart from other tutors, as I understand just how it feels to sit in the opposite chair! I would love to teach high schoolers/undergraduates in psychology :)
