About Joyce
Hello! My name is Joyce and I am in my final year studying Education in Cardiff University. I’ve worked in many different Nursery, Primary and Secondary schools through agencies within Wales, and after working 1-1 with many pupils who needed that extra support, I have acknowledged that many pupils needed support when it came down to their literacy and numeracy skills. I want to help those, no matter where they are when it comes to needing extra support.
With my own skills, experience and personal qualities, I believe it would be helpful for those who would like to build their confidence through my approach of breaking down questions, familiarising yourself with maths and numeracy questions, and finding methods that best fit you! I can also enable you to find the revision method that works in your best interest. That is what I’m here for! Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions :)

A typical length of my lesson will be an hour or 2 hours, highlight many different methods and techniques to help with your learning knowledge, with an approach of helping with any Maths problem by breaking it down until it is clear and understandable for you. My schedule is flexible, and my GCSE qualifications from the WJEC exam board for maths are in my favour, and my experience with 1-1 pupils will help me understand your individual needs. I’ve supported many different pupils, alongside SEN students, and assisted a calm, slow and helpful manner within my teaching when it comes to tutoring. I understand the difficulties when it comes to learning mathematics in a structural approach, as everyone’s learning progress and abilities are different. I am here to help you with these challenges, because I believe everybody can find what works best for them! My lessons are aimed at KS2 and KS3 pupils, who are seeking support with GCSE foundation, intermediate and higher tier Maths.
