About Gabriel
I am a 13 year old student at one of the top selective academic schools in England. I have been playing chess since I was 5 years old and trained under GM Julian Hodgson. I have participated in various tournaments and won several trophies, medals and certificates over the years. I also participated at the renowned London UKCC Megafinals where I placed 5th nationally and proceeded to the prestigious UKCC Gigafinals. Friends and family describe me as intelligent, patient, caring, analytical, sharp and empathetic. With my students I strive to nurture their innate abilities and expand their knowledge of the game. I have inspired various friends and chess students to love the game and I hope that you soon will too!

Are you starting from beginner level or ready to level up? I tailor clear, structured chess lessons that build solid foundations, strategic thinking, and lasting confidence. • I am a very patient person by nature and will ensure students have space to grow, ask questions, improve and have their talents nurtured and confidence boosted. About Me/ Special Achievements: • I personally gained admission into Britain's top three selective academic schools namely, St Paul's Juniors, King's College School and Westminster's Boys School via the 7+ exams – a testament to my disciplined, focused nature. This is reflected in my high standard approach to coaching. I am extremely passionate about chess and bring enthusiasm and positivity to the lesson. Family, friends and previous students describe me as very kind, calm and patient. Ratings, Personal experience and Chess methods: • I have played chess for 8 years, since I was 5 years old and I instantly loved the complexities, ideas and strategic thinking required of the game. • I trained under GM Julian Hodgson, amongst others, and competed in the UKCC Chess Megafinals where I placed 5th, and proceeded into the Gigafinals. My peak rating is 2030 in Bullet, which is in the top 18% of players) and I have had a rating over 1800 in blitz, in the top 5% of players on chess.com. I play puzzles with a rating of over 10000, significantly above standard players. In my lessons, you will see that I show my strengths in my teaching, helping to identify my students' playing style, identifying key tactics for play, studying varied openings and overall improving their play. I am interested in teaching children aged 3-10 at a Beginner to Intermediate Level.
