About Nathan
Having left high school with all 9s and college with A*A*A I understand how to identify and eliminate gaps in your knowledge and secure the grades you deserve. More importantly than that though I understand that a lesson should not be a source of stress, and that learning should be fun.
I am sociable, empathetic and create a laid back atmosphere. Whether you're shy, need breaks to keep focused or struggling with a particular topic my main priority is that your personal needs are met.
I have experience with one to one teaching secondary school students and love to share what I know. I also have experience working with young people through volunteering at a youth club. I'm extremely passionate about politics and philosophy and I think it is important people are politically conscious and don't just accept the world at face value.

My lessons will be entirely suited to your needs. Just let me know whether you want to use your time focusing on specific topics you're struggling with, honing essay writing skills or going through practise questions and I will create a personalised lesson plan that will work for you.
If you're looking to improve your essays my methodology is to first review some of your previous writing. By identifying your weaknesses, we can determine which skills you need to gain or develop.
Perhaps this will highlight a need to work on making a persuasive argument, or maybe that you're having problems giving your essays an effective structure. Whatever it is, I will clearly explain the technique(s) you need to add to your toolkit. This can include looking at examples of perfect essays.
Finally, practise makes perfect and I will set personalised exercises and give constructive feedback.
If you're looking for help with a particulr subject you're struggling with my methodology is mostly the same, but I will create a lesson plan personalised entirely to you.
I am very patient and open to input and will do everything I can to help you learn in your preferred way.
