About Jazmin

My name is Jazmin, I’m a travel ICU Registered Nurse whom decided to sign up with superprof platform because of my passion in helping others reach their full potential. To tell you a little bit about myself I've been in the medical field for over ten years and worked in many different specialties. I attended Crouse University where I obtained my degree as a Registered Nurse. There I was a part of the Alpha Delta Zu honor roll society in which I was able to participate in many community events to give back to the community.

Upon graduating nursing school I was given the opportunity to start off right away working in the ICU and it has been such a privilege being able to provide care for those in need. Prior to becoming a Registered Nurse I was a Medical Assistant (Graduated from Allen school in NYC) and worked in specialties such as urgent care, pain management, cardiology, family medicine, and OB/GYN. I am also bilingual, primary language is Spanish; I am fluent in speaking, writing and reading Spanish as it is part of my daily life. Throughout my life I always found myself coaching/tutoring my peers; creating templates, power point slides, flashcards, guidelines, study sheets/plans and having group meetings/discussion. I’ve also always been in the preceptor role in both to teach new nurses in the hospital system and also when I was a Medical Assistant. I’ve always felt that teaching for me has came naturally.

I know hands down how nerve wrecking studying can be. If there is anything I can help with whether it is helping you get a head start on your first week of nursing school or simply needing some tips on the how to's... I am your girl! Any questions at all, don't hesitate to reach out. I am super excited and looking forward to getting to know each one of you :)

About the lesson

I use a multi approach when teaching my students that includes establishing the baseline knowledge of the student pertaining to the subject they're seeking help in. Once the knowledge is establish I individualized an academic plan based on the needs of the student. This can range from practice exams to providing academic calendar to follow.

Every student is different and require a different approach when learning. I am very interactive, huge on breaking things down into simple terms for better understanding, and use more of a team approach when tackling hard questions.
