My Physics professor used to say, "clear explanation doesn't guarantee clear understanding." I've lost count at how many times I've been utterly lost and confused in math and physics . Oftentimes no amount of clarifying questions helped me grasp a concept. Many times, it took a visual demonstration, an extra example problem, or just some more time to mull over an idea.
