I have tutored Calculus for 3 years, K - 12th grade Math for 1 year. I was also an Education major for 2 years. I have been working with kids and college-level students for the past year. My goal is to end up teaching at the University Level.

I have worked with countless amounts of students that are afraid to start a problem because of the negativity they have associated with Math. This stems from teachers that do not have the ability to teach in the way the said student needs.
The most important part of tutoring is for the student to realize that Math is not that hard, it is quite simple if you understand the end goal. We always know where our destination is, but we often get lost on the way there. This is when a student needs a little push to move on to the next step.
Working through problems with someone next to you, encouraging you, is what most kids need to become more confident in their Math skills and soon after raise their grades.
