About Matthew
Hi! I’m Matthew, a high school student who enjoys helping younger students understand schoolwork and feel more confident in what they’re learning. I’ve taken honors and AP-level classes, and I know that sometimes a subject can make a lot more sense when another student explains it in a simpler way.
I’m patient, friendly, and willing to go over something more than once until it clicks. I can help elementary and middle school students with math, reading, writing, science, homework, study skills, and test preparation.
I’m also an experienced trumpet player and have been playing for several years, so I can help beginning trumpet and band students with fingerings, reading music, rhythms, scales, practice habits, and their band music.
My goal isn’t just to help students finish an assignment — I want them to understand what they’re doing and become more confident doing it on their own.
