About Taraneh
I am a graduate student at UBC with a strong background in mathematics, engineering, and problem-solving. I have experience teaching mathematics to students in Grades 7–9 and have also worked as a university teaching assistant. I have participated in national and international mathematics competitions, including earning a bronze medal in the International Mathematics Competition. I especially enjoy geometry and combinatorics, and I enjoy sharing that interest in mathematics with my students.

I believe the best way to learn mathematics is by working through actual problems. I tailor my lessons to each student’s needs, focusing on the topics and types of problems they find most challenging. We work through problems together step by step, identify where difficulties come from, and build a stronger understanding of the underlying concepts. My goal is not just to help students find the right answer, but to help them develop the reasoning and problem-solving skills to approach new problems independently.
