About Isabella
I'm Isabella, a UCLA student (Dean's Honors List) with 12 years of classical piano training. I started lessons as a young child, so I remember exactly what it feels like to be a beginner, and I've taught friends and family members from their very first notes. Outside of music I've worked in marketing and managed a retail team, which taught me how to be organized, reliable, and clear when I explain things. I'm patient and encouraging by nature, I show up on time, and I communicate with parents after every lesson. My goal is for every student to leave each lesson a little more confident and excited to sit down at the piano.

My lessons are for beginners and intermediate players of all ages: kids 5 and up, teens, and adults who always wanted to learn. Every student gets a simple written plan with weekly goals, so each lesson has a clear purpose. Beginners start with reading music, rhythm, and hand position while learning real songs from the very first lesson, using a standard method book like Faber Piano Adventures. Intermediate students work on technique, sight-reading, and repertoire they choose, from classical pieces to pop songs and film music. A typical 45-minute lesson looks like this: a short warm-up and technique exercise, review of last week's piece, a new concept introduced through a song the student enjoys, and a few minutes of ear training or a rhythm game for younger kids. After each lesson I send a short practice note so students and parents know exactly what to work on. I keep things patient, encouraging, and fun, because students who enjoy practicing are the ones who improve. Lessons are available at your home in Westwood, Brentwood, Santa Monica, and nearby areas, or online.
