About Cal
I'm a UC Santa Cruz undergraduate in Technology & Information Management, graduating June 2026 with Dean's Honors. I have hands-on experience as both a peer tutor and undergraduate researcher, and will be beginning my Master's in Computer Science and Engineering at UCSC in the fall.
One thing that sets me apart: I'm involved in improv, which has made me a better teacher. I'm comfortable thinking on my feet and meeting you where you are, making sessions feel less like a lecture and more like a conversation. No judgment, no rushing, just working through it together until it clicks.
I specialize in computer science, networking, mathematics, and statistics, and am available to work with students from fundamentals through AP-level coursework and college STEM material.

Every student comes in with different gaps and different goals, so I start each engagement by getting a clear picture of where you are and what you need. From there we build a plan geared towards what you need, rather than following a rigid script.
In a typical session we'll work through the concept causing trouble, identify where the understanding breaks down, and build up from there. I use real-world examples, ask questions rather than just explaining, and adjust my approach to fit each student. I believe everyone has the ability to understand STEM topics and I aim to help you find that within yourself.
My approach is structured and goal-oriented. We'll identify where your understanding currently is and where you want it to be, then work to bridge that gap together.
