About Kgomotso
I have always been good with numbers and have had overall strong academic capabilities. During my high school career at St Mary's DSG in Pretoria, I was always in the top 3 and always won the mathematics awards - particularly the AP Mathematics award in matric.
I just finished my undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics at UCT with distinction. My degree did not have a rigorous mathematics component so I have mainly kept my passion for numbers alive through tutoring over the years. However, I do have sufficient knowledge in first year mathematics.
I have tutored formally through an agency and informally in residency in Cape Town. I have experience in tutoring both in-person and online. As a result, I believe I have substantial experience and drive to continue to tutor mathematics at all levels, until first year of university.

I know that mathematics can be a difficult subject but I strongly believe that practice makes perfect.
My methodology usually involves discussing the theory behind a concept, going through multiple examples that adapt the theory to practice, and finally allowing the student to go out and practice - first supervised, and then on their own.
I teach in English and I expect students to come prepared with questions so that the lesson reaches its full potential in its value. I am willing to teach all ages from primary to high school.
I am extremely patient and strive to do my best in ensuring that my lessons lessen the intimidation of mathematics.
