About Colin
Hello all! My name is Colin, born and raised in North Carolina, and I'm a UNC-Chapel Hill graduate who studied both Economics and Advertising. I started unofficially tutoring my fellow econ students in mathematics before moving to the professional side of tutoring. I absolutely LOVE that "ah-ha" or lightbulb moment -- there is nothing more rewarding than working towards a goal and achieving it together.

Math can be tough. It's confusing, small details make a big difference, and where the heck does that negative sign go? I had all these struggles and then some growing up, which is why I tailor my lessons to the student's individual struggles. I take a step-by-step approach, first seeing what the student understands and helping to fill in the gaps along the way.
Having FUN is an absolute essential in my lessons. Nobody is going to want to learn if they're not enjoying themselves. While math isn't always the most exciting, I can promise you we'll find a way to make it fun.
