About Rita
I am an undergraduate student at the University of Florida currently majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I have junior standing but this is my first year at the university as I graduated high school with my AA and was salutatorian of my class. I have years of tutoring experience with all sorts of different types of students as part of our peer mentoring program where I specialized in tutoring mathematics and was one of our few SAT math tutors helping many earn the Florida Merit Scholarships by helping them grow their math score.

I teach you so you can teach me. I not only explain the math but the why behind the math so that it makes more logical sense rather than the traditional memorizing formula of teaching mathematics. At a glance I explain the theorem, do an example problem, do an additional problem prompting the student to guide me through it and correcting any errors, and finally another example where a student essentially teaches me the material not only growing their math skills but their confidence and ability to communicate with others. Then we increase the difficulty and repeat until the student is a master of the topic.
