About Shantelle
I graduated from high school with both a diploma as well as a general associate's degree. I tutored at the community college that I attended as a contracted tutor in math up to pre-calculus, general biology I and II, general chemistry I and II, and writing. In addition, I volunteered at the high school that I attended as a 1:1 tutor in specific subjects as well as group tutoring for ACT prep.
I have taken organic chemistry I and am currently taking the second course for organic chemistry at one of the best liberal arts colleges in the United States, Wellesley College. I have also taken organismal and cellular biology as well as general chemistry again since being at Wellesley College. I am majoring in neuroscience, plan to do a thesis next year, and am a pre-medicine student!

A typical lesson plan will start with a brief overview of the topic at hand and then we will walk through practice problems. I will ask that you explain your thought process as you solve problems to identify sticking points, and then you will do individual problems on your own. I will ask that you explain what you did and why it makes sense after solving. At the end, I will ask that you give me your own version of an overview of the topic we worked on.
These lessons are designed for students in high school or undergraduate students studying or taking classes in the sciences, preferably biology or chemistry.
