About Lila
I am an Undergraduate Student currently studying at Goldsmiths University. Throughout my time in school and Sixth Form I began to understand the difficulty that comes with learning in an environment that can lack excitement and where a 'one size fits all' approach is taken. Everybody and their learning styles are different and that individual nurturing and understanding how you learn best can make a massive difference in your education!
It can be difficult to grasp concepts in a classroom, which is why I have began tutoring. After discovering the learning techniques that were right for me my outlook on education changed completely, transforming my grades and my passion! For me, this is an opportunity to use my previous learning and progressive mindset to help others to succeed and feel proud of their own achievements.

I have always been passionate about both Psychology and Sociology and want to continue my enjoyment through tutoring, hopefully being able to ignite the love and understanding for the subjects in new people!
Coming from my A Levels I am confident in my knowledge of modern exam questions and understanding how to use exam technique to utilise individual skillsets. Knowing what the exam boards want from you can be the key to success which is why I teach with an emphasis on exam skills alongside content.
My teaching methodology puts a focus on discussion and verbal recall of ideas and schools of thought. I found that with these subjects, where there can be complex lines of explanation, interactive conversation can help develop true understanding rather than simple recall. I use my personal notes and handmade resources alongside exam board textbooks that I used to achieve in my own studies.
The typical length of a lesson is an hour but I can personalise around your schedule to tailor my lessons to an hour and a half/two hours.
