About Estella
Hello! My name is Estella and I study English Literature and Comparative Literature at the University of St. Andrews.
I am originally from Miami, Florida but have lived in Madrid for the past few years!
I began English tutoring four years ago and have found it to be incredibly fulfilling. I have worked with many of my clients from my free-lance tutoring for multiple years, which has allowed me a greater understanding of how individual each student's needs are and how to best adapt to them.
My approach is very personal and detail-oriented, with an emphasis on confidence-building and understanding the processes and tools by which students can succeed in their future English courses and essay writing.

My approach to tutoring is tailored to each of my students' needs to ensure that they can maximumly benefit from our time together. I think it is essential for students to be taught in a way that allows them to succeed even after they no longer work with me. That is, it is of foremost significance that their learning is all-encompassing; that they are not just taught how to succeed within an individual assignment but within their greater academic experience and journey.
My lessons range from one to two hours, although I am very flexible! It is not uncommon for clients to ask for longer sessions, such as right before an exam or when revising a final essay, and I am always happy to accommodate.
I have worked with all age ranges, from primary school students to adults taking night classes, though most recently, the majority of my clients have been secondary school students and Honours Level university students.
