About Lakshiyien

As a Bachelor of Science student majoring in Statistics at the University of Auckland, I combine academic excellence with a genuine passion for teaching. I specialize in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, and Business Studies for students aged 13–18, across NCEA Levels 1–3, Cambridge IGCSE and A-Levels, and Edexcel GCSE and A-Levels. My in-depth understanding of all three curriculum systems allows me to support a wide range of learners—whether they're preparing for exams, switching between systems, or needing help with specific topics. My teaching philosophy is centered on clarity, patience, and adaptability. I believe that every student can succeed with the right support, and I tailor my lessons to suit each individual's learning style. I use a range of techniques—including visual aids, scaffolded explanations, real-world examples, and interactive problem-solving—to make complex concepts easy to understand. Rather than encouraging memorization, I focus on helping students truly understand the “why” behind what they’re learning. About the lesson

As a BSc Statistics student at the University of Auckland, I bring a deep understanding of mathematical and statistical principles along with fresh insight into the learning challenges students face today. My lessons emphasize clear explanation, scaffolded learning, and interactive problem-solving. I often use visual aids and draw connections between subjects to show how they complement one another—helping students not only understand content but also apply it across disciplines. I specialize in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, and Business Studies for students aged 13–18, across NCEA Levels 1–3, Cambridge IGCSE and A-Levels, and Edexcel GCSE and A-Levels. I have a comprehensive understanding of all three curriculum systems and provide targeted support for students preparing for major exams, struggling with quantitative subjects, or transitioning between educational systems. Typical lessons are 60 to 90 minutes long and are customized to the student's pace and goals—whether it's bridging knowledge gaps, developing advanced problem-solving strategies, or mastering time management techniques for assessments. My ultimate goal is to help students build lasting confidence, analytical thinking, and a strong foundation that supports long-term academic success and beyond.
