About Melis
Hi! I’m Melis – a PhD student in Chemistry at the University of Bristol, with a strong academic background in maths and science. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering and a Master’s in Environmental Biotechnology. Teaching has always been a passion of mine. I have several years of experience working with children and teenagers in both classroom and one-to-one settings. I’ve also volunteered in science outreach projects, helping young learners explore science through fun, hands-on experiments. I’m friendly, patient, and deeply committed to helping students feel more confident in their abilities. I believe that learning should be a positive experience – and I always aim to create a calm, supportive environment where students feel safe to ask questions and make mistakes.
