About Matthew
I draw from a strong educational background (B.S. Biochemistry and Biophysics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 1998 and PhD in Chemistry from the University of Connecticut 2015) as well as a strong research background in both academia and industry.
During my time as a UConn graduate student I have successfully taught undergraduates both formally as a general and organic chemistry teaching assistant and informally as a tutor.
I have helped students ranging from a high school chemistry student struggling to pass to a college senior applying to medical school but needed to raise her biochemistry grade from a C to an A.
I have a passion for my subject and enjoy improving its understanding.
