About Megan
I am a award winning Lecturer and Specialist Support Professional with a First-Class degree in Education Studies and TESOL, alongside postgraduate training in Social Research. I have extensive experience supporting university students to achieve high academic outcomes, particularly in essay writing, dissertations, and research/study skills.
My academic journey was not linear. During my degree, I experienced significant anxiety and self-doubt around my work. Over time, I developed strategies to move beyond perfectionism and approach learning in a way that was structured, accessible, and aligned with how I think and process information. These are the exact strategies I now teach my students as a lecturer in education!
Alongside my lecturing role, I have worked 1:1 with 50+ university students with a wide range of disabilities, including sensory impairments, neurodivergence, and chronic health conditions. I have supported students across diverse disciplines - including law, business, healthcare, social sciences, computer sceince, performing arts, marketing... to just name a few!

Each session is tailored to your specific module, assignment, and learning needs. Before we begin, we will identify your goals together, whether that’s improving grades, understanding feedback, or building confidence in your academic writing.

I take a scaffolded approach, meaning I guide you through the process while helping you develop the skills to work independently over time.
Sessions are interactive and collaborative and all take place online, since I am based in Australia. You are encouraged to bring your ideas, drafts, or questions, and we will work through them together in a clear and manageable way.

The sessions I have had with Megan have been very helpful in developing my academic skills.
