About Farrel
Salut, I am Felis! While I am still a university student right now, I have always wanted and placed an interest to become a tutor, mainly as a side-hustle to studying. It started when one of my friends wanted help for one exam and because I took that subject, I decided it would be a good idea to lecture a few concepts. After receiving the grades list, it helped a lot in evaluating how I did, knowing I elucidated the ideas well. Either way, my methods improved over time and will do so continually. I am a firm believer in having faith, patience, and empathy for the students, since everyone learns differently. Some may catch phrases quickly, whereas others may need repeats. Not only that, anyone can learn the same thing, but the only thing needed is to put time-investment and passion into the subject. These are crucial elements in my tutoring.

A few key approaches I take whenever teaching others involve relating one core idea to its branches - or even something completely unrelated but is iconic enough to be remembered. This may be the most helpful, since I can encourage my peers (as my students) to make connections and actively recall important concepts rather easily. The length of the lesson can vary, but at best, 1 to 4 hours within a day is the best range. While I do not precisely have formal experience in tutoring, as aforementioned, I have taught a few of my acquaintances and friends regarding the subjects they are confused in. Based on my experience, most performed well after I taught them and that certainly was good news. As far as I am concerned, I am also versatile in the different kinds of topics to teach. For now, my lessons are at most advanced for high-schoolers (like year 12s). But anyone can take it for fun! I would love to see youngsters doing it out of curiosity, which makes it easier to teach as well. :)
