Hi there! I’m Dan, a dedicated music tutor with extensive experience in guitar, music theory, and music production. As a classical, jazz and contemporary performer with credentials from prestigious venues and a background in music production and studio work, I offer a broad range of guidance tailored to all skill levels.

Welcome to my music tutoring service! I offer comprehensive online guitar and/or music theory lessons, tailored to meet the needs of students at all levels. In addition to traditional music instruction, I also offer teaching in music production and studio work for those who are interested in entering the world of recording music, making my lessons ideal for musicians of any instrument or artist who wish to expand their skills.

Teaching Techniques and Methodology:
I blend traditional and modern teaching methods to deliver a well-rounded educational experience. My lessons include practical exercises, interactive tools, and real-world applications to make learning engaging and effective. Whether you're focusing on guitar, music theory, or music production, each session is designed to help you achieve your musical goals.

Lesson Structure:

Typical Length: Lessons are generally 1 hour long

Content: Guitar lessons focus on technique and repertoire; Music Theory sessions cover harmony, rhythm, ear training, and song analysis for any instrument. Music production lessons include using programs like Logic Pro or GarageBand, as well as basics on studio work and production techniques.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education: Currently studying music at UWA Conservatory, with offers from WAAPA (Contemporary).

Performance Experience: Active composer and music producer
Experience in contemporary, jazz and western art music
Guitarist for the UWA Jazz Big Band, Mars on Holiday
Member of various ensembles active in the Perth music scene
Performed internationally at venues such as Perth Concert Hall, Riverside Theatre, Menin Gate and Harrogate Royal Hall, and featured guitarist Eastman Guitar’s social media.
Additional Achievements: Completed Western Art Music ATAR Program (Ranked 4th), AMEB Grade 8 Cello, SCSA Certificate of Distinction

Production Expertise: Experienced music producer and multi-instrumentalist with knowledge of Logic Pro and GarageBand.
