About Jack
My name is Jack and I am an 18 years old Maths Student from the North of England. I take your learning seriously but am not a strict tutor unless asked of me. Lesson will largely be controlled with the student as what we learn/discuss is something the student needs to be involved with as it teaches to understand where improvement is needed and how best to manage that. My main approach to teaching is specialising my lesson for the qualification/goal of the student. Not all students are will want the same thing out of lessons and identifying what their goal is both in the short and long term is key to tutoring. As such my lessons are highly specialised and for the student requiring the student only to bring an attitude of wanting to learn. I also try to teach students methods of learning that will benefit them throughout there entire studies. Lessons will usually last anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the need/want of the student and my availability. I have experience volunteer tutoring formally as well as informal tutoring in my community of many years. Overall, I specialise in teaching not only what students need to learn but also how to learn for themselves.
