About Daisy

Hello! I’m a piano tutor with 4 years of experience and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Musicology focused on Piano History. My teaching embraces jazz improvisation, comping roles, and sophisticated harmonic concepts. Students learn to communicate musically with confidence. I see jazz as a complete system for artistic growth. That’s why lessons include ear training for extended chords, rhythmic development, and transcription. My students range from Early Intermediate players to expert-level jazz musicians. I tailor each session to suit individual artistic goals. About the lesson

My teaching method for piano focuses on songwriting, composition, and structured musical thinking. Students learn how to shape original melodies and harmonies through step-by-step creative exercises. I also make sure they develop piano skills such as fingering, timing, accuracy, and tone control. My lessons train learners to design strong intros that welcome listeners, and outros that leave emotional impact. I teach musical storytelling, chord progression writing, and theme expansion. Students are encouraged to write short musical ideas, then turn them into complete songs. I support Therapy Seekers with emotional exploration through piano writing. For Jazz Pianists, I help them shape improvisation into structured original pieces. Ear training is a strong focus of lessons. We listen for chord quality, tension, release moments, and melodic shape. Students develop interval recognition and pitch accuracy to support songwriting growth. My approach is patient and creative. I guide learners to experiment without fear. Weekly feedback helps them refine their ideas into finished music. I teach students to trust themselves and build confidence in their musical choices. This method turns piano study into artistic storytelling. You will grow into a composer with identity and purpose, writing your musical legacy.
