About Amber
My teaching methodology for piano is built around creativity, cultural sensitivity, and motivation, aiming to provide a personalised and engaging learning experience for each student. I focus on developing a strong technical foundation while encouraging students to explore their own musical expression. Lessons combine structured exercises, improvisation, and composition, allowing students to understand both the mechanics and artistry of music. With 4 years of experience teaching piano, I have successfully guided 200–300 students of all levels, from beginners to advanced performers. My teaching approach is personalised and student-focused, ensuring that each lesson addresses the individual needs, goals, and learning style of the student. I emphasise building a strong foundation in technique, sight-reading, and music theory while nurturing creativity through improvisation and composition. I specialise in classical, jazz, and contemporary piano styles, making lessons engaging, challenging, and enjoyable. I strive to create a motivating and supportive learning environment, helping students develop not only technical skills but also a deep appreciation for music. By incorporating cultural awareness and diverse musical examples, I expose students to a wide range of musical traditions, helping them expand their musical horizons. Beyond performance, I offer lessons in music theory, composition, and improvisation to provide a holistic understanding of music. My goal is to empower students to express themselves confidently, whether preparing for exams, recitals, or personal growth. I am dedicated to guiding each student to reach their fullest potential, fostering both proficiency and artistic expression on their musical journey.
