About Madeline
Hi! My name is Madeline and I am currently a senior at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. I am studying Cognitive Studies and Medicine, Health, and Society, and I hope to become a Physician's Assistant in the next few years. I have been tutoring elementary, middle, and high school students in math and reading for the past 5 years. Every single one of the students I tutored showed improvement in their math or reading skills over the time we worked together. Not only will I help you improve your math skills, but I will help build your confidence when it comes to learning anything new and challenging. We will make mistakes together and we will learn together. I am here to support you in the way that works best for you!

As your tutor, I will help figure out what methods and strategies of learning work best for you in order to help you succeed! I believe that with individualized instruction that is tailored to the way your brain works and understands math, you will succeed in math! A typical lesson with me will be based in doing practice problems. I want to see how you work through these problems so that I can identify your strengths, as well as areas that we can work to improve on. The purpose of our lessons is not to just have me teach methods that make sense to me, but to teach methods that play off of your individual strengths and learning style. It may take some trial and error, but as I become familiar with your brain and learning style, I am sure we will make great progress. My lessons are for anyone grades K-12 taking math from beginner arithmetic to calculus and statistics!
