About Helen

Hi there! I'm Helen, from Leeds, England.

I'm a CELTA and Delta qualified teacher with over ten years of experience teaching in both Spain and the UK. I've worked with students from all over the world and enjoy meeting new people and learning about their cultures. As an enthusiastic, friendly, and experienced teacher, I strive to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment.

My lessons focus on building confidence, particularly in speaking. While I'm proficient in teaching grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and exam techniques (including IELTS, IELTS for UKVI Life Skills, Cambridge Advanced, and Cambridge First), my qualifications and experience allow me to excel at error correction and identifying learner needs.

I'm passionate about teaching and find it incredibly rewarding when students gain confidence and enjoy learning English.

About the lesson

My approach focuses on building a solid foundation in three key areas: techniques, pronunciation, and, perhaps most importantly, confidence.
We'll practice speaking in a relaxed and supportive environment, and I'll provide constructive feedback to help you identify your strengths and areas for improvement. Regular practice and positive reinforcement will give you the confidence to express yourself fluently and naturally, which is vital for achieving your target score.
