About Kelsie

Hi! I’m Kelsie, a vocal and acting coach with a lifelong passion for singing, musical theatre, and performance.

I trained at AMDA (American Musical and Dramatic Academy) in New York City and have over 20 years of experience in singing and musical theatre. My background in performance has given me a strong foundation in vocal technique, acting, stage presence, and storytelling through music.

For the past 2+ years, I’ve been sharing that experience through personalized vocal and acting coaching, helping students develop their voices, confidence, and performance skills.

I work with students of different ages and skill levels—from beginners discovering their love of performing to students preparing for auditions, performances, and musical theatre.

My teaching style is encouraging, personalized, and confidence-focused. I believe good technique is important, but so are creativity, self-expression, and actually enjoying the process of learning.

Through The Mindful Voice, I want to create a supportive space where students can discover their strengths, grow as performers, and become more confident both on and off the stage.

My goal is for every student to leave a lesson feeling proud of what they accomplished and excited about what they can do next.

About the lesson

Every student deserves to feel confident, not perfect.

My lessons combine vocal technique, singing, acting, and musical theatre in a fun, supportive environment where students can learn without feeling pressured to be perfect. I tailor each lesson to the individual student, their goals, personality, experience, and interests.

Depending on what they’re working toward, lessons may include vocal warm-ups, breathing and support, pitch, tone, diction, song interpretation, acting through song, stage presence, audition preparation, and performance confidence.

For younger performers, I focus on building a strong foundation while keeping lessons engaging and age-appropriate. For students preparing for auditions or performances, we can work more specifically on song selection, character development, performance choices, and feeling confident in the room.

Most importantly, I want students to enjoy the process. My goal is for every student to leave a lesson feeling proud of their progress, more confident in their abilities, and excited to keep growing.

You don’t have to be perfect to be a great performer—you just have to be willing to find your voice.

It has been such a joy working with these two over the past two years! They are now heading into 8th grade, and I’m so proud of how much they’ve grown—not only in their confidence and skills, but as performers. They are both such wonderful students to work with, and getting to watch them develop over the years has been one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
