About Arlene
Hi I’m Arlene, a passionate and dedicated student with a strong academic drive and a genuine love for helping others learn. Having challenged myself academically by aiming high and taking on advanced pathways, I understand both the pressure students feel and the importance of having a patient, supportive tutor. I know that every student learns differently, which is why I adapt my teaching style to suit individual needs whether that means breaking difficult concepts into simple steps, using creative memory techniques, or building confidence from the ground up. I believe learning should feel encouraging, not intimidating, and I strive to create a positive, professional environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them believe in their own abilities.

My classes are typically 30 minutes, but I offer 60-75 minute sessions for students that may be preparing for competitions/recitals etc.
I believe no two students learn in exactly the same way, so my lessons are completely personalized to each individual student. Rather than using one teaching method for everyone, I take time to understand how each person learns best whether through visual explanations, step-by-step breakdowns, memory techniques, practice questions, discussion, music-based learning, or creative approaches. As a previous student myself, and as someone who has had experiences working in recording studios and live shows.
I understand how stressful vocals can feel and how frustrating it is when a teacher explains something in a way that just doesn’t click. Because of this, I create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions without fear of judgment. I have experience helping others and I’m patient, adaptable, and committed to helping students genuinely understand material rather than simply memorizing it. My goal is not just better singing, but stronger confidence and a learning experience that feels motivating and enjoyable.
