About Spencer

As a coach, actor, and performer, I bring a high level of professionalism, preparation, and care to every lesson. I hold a B.A. in Vocal Performance, have advanced musical theater training at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting, and over seven years of onstage experience across dozens of productions, cabarets, concerts, and showcases. This helps connect with the students and allows me to teach from both a technical and real-world performance perspective. I take vocal health seriously and approach each student with respect, clarity, and intention, ensuring lessons are fun, safe, and thoughtfully paced. My goal is to provide a dependable, encouraging, and playful learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and confident in their abilities. When you work with me, you’re working with someone who has been exactly where you are and is committed to your growth, invested in your progress, and dedicated to helping you develop a strong, sustainable voice that will command the audience's attention.

About the lesson

My lessons are built around the belief that great singing comes from feeling safe, confident, and truly connected in your voice and the music. Whether you’re a beginner finding your sound for the first time or an experienced singer refining your craft, I create a supportive, focused space where healthy technique, emotional storytelling, and engaging presence come together. Through fun stretches and warmups, you'll build a deeper physical connection to your body and your instrument, allowing your voice to feel freer, supported, and more responsive (All you'll need is a straw haha). We also dive into the music itself, analyzing what we are singing and why we are singing it in that way, so your performance feels honest, fully connected, and purposeful.

Drawing from my background as a performer and actor, I'll help you strengthen your voice while learning how to communicate through it, so your singing feels expressive, grounded, engaging, and reliable. Each lesson is tailored specifically to you, blending structure with creativity, so you leave not just sounding better, but understanding your voice and being able to trust and support it.

I’ve known Spencer since college, when I took voice lessons with him. He is a very calm and collected person who is extremely organized and is dedicated to his singing career. One time during a rehearsal for one of our musicals (hunchback of notre dame) I was having trouble with one of the songs, luckily Spencer helped me find the lower register I needed to accomplish it. Thankfully he was patient as it took a while! I recommend Spencer as a voice teacher as he is very hardworking, is dedicated to helping others, and is always striving to be better.
