About Naomi
The room is quiet. We begin by reviewing your performance recordings together each month to identify areas for growth. My 13 years of experience allows me to pinpoint exactly when a student needs to adjust their posture or engagement. Students focused on performance find these sessions highlight the bridge between technical breathing and authentic expression.
We break down complex phrasing into manageable components. I ensure every singer feels confident and prepared for their upcoming challenges. Vocal development takes time.

Considering that many of my performance-focused students struggle with stage fear management, I prioritize a calm studio environment for kids and adults alike. My degree from the UBC School of Music provides the technical framework for the diction and articulation drills I use daily. I emphasize breathing control as the primary engine for effective harmony singing and phrasing. Having taught for 13 years, I recognize how microphone technique shifts the way a vocalist perceives their own sound.
My personal study in violin at the Schulich school informs my deep appreciation for intonation and pitch accuracy. I bring this cross-disciplinary perspective to help you navigate exam preparation and stage presence. The nuances of song delivery are just as vital as the notes on the page.
I enjoy helping singers find the balance between technical rigor and emotional honesty. You will find my feedback is as consistent as it is demanding. My focus is on the long-term health of your voice.
