About Evangeline

Hi there! My name is Eve and I am thrilled to be your English teacher. I hold a degree in International Development from American International College and have gained valuable experience as a former research assistant at Harvard University School of Computer Science. With my background, I have developed personalized teaching methods that cater to the unique needs of each of my students.

I believe that learning should be fun and engaging, and that is why I use a dynamic teaching style that encourages interaction and collaboration between my students and myself. I am dedicated to helping you achieve your language learning goals, whether it is to improve your conversational English, grammar, or writing skills. Together, we will work towards making you a confident and effective communicator in English.

When I'm not teaching, you can find me pursuing my hobbies of oil painting and playing the piano or studying a new subject. I also enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews who are between the ages of 6 months and 16 years old! My experiences of living outside of the United States and studying languages in both Japan and Spain, as well as working in several countries including China, Vietnam, Canada, and the United Arab Emirates have allowed me to develop a deep understanding and appreciation for diverse cultures.

I am excited to get to know you and work with you on achieving your language-learning goals. Let's start this exciting journey together!

About the lesson

My teaching style is communicative and student-centered, meaning that I place a strong emphasis on conversation practice and I adapt my lessons to the individual needs of each student.

In our lessons, we'll work on improving your speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills. We'll also focus on grammar and vocabulary, but always in the context of real-life situations and practical usage.

I believe that learning should be enjoyable, so I like to incorporate fun and engaging activities into our lessons. For example, we might play games, watch videos, or have debates on interesting topics.

I also understand that each student has different goals and needs, so I will work with you to create a personalized learning plan that helps you achieve your language learning objectives.

Overall, my goal is to help you gain the confidence and skills you need to communicate effectively in English, whether it's for academic, professional, or personal reasons. I'm excited to work with you and help you reach your full potential!
