About Saadiyah

With an undergraduate BSc degree and Postgraduate Social Sciences degree, I have experience in all forms of writing. I am fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans), allowing me to break language barriers when aiding students doing English as a second or third language. I have previous experience providing tuition in my field, as well as aiding senior high school students with English Language, Literature and Creative Writing and also essay writing in other subjects (i.e. History, Economics, etc.). I pride myself on being a detail-oriented individual, thus enabling me to successfully proofread writing and assist students in answering certain questions fully and clearly.

About the lesson

My teaching method is to help students understand, rather than memorize. My goal is to teach skills and methods of comprehension that will last a lifetime while cultivating appreciation for the content. Students must be able to understand an instruction/question clearly and know how to take it on in any context by the time tuition ends. I try to teach holistically, so that the skills students learn from me improve their ability to convey a piece of information in a manner that is concise and easily understood. This skill should flow over into the manner in which they take on questions and the understanding of other subjects.
