About Joao
I am a music lover, committed to music as a way of life.
Started playing saxophone when I was 10 years old in a marching band by chance. Then the passion started to grow and never let go. Even when I started studying mechanical engineering.
Everything we learn from music can also be applied to our daily lives and the reverse is also true. So learn as much music as possible because you will grow into a better person.
I really like to be optimistic and also like to apply my "engineering mind" to teaching: more than just having students memorize things, I want them to actually know things.

I use a personalized approach for each student based on more than 15 years of experience teaching in different contexts: some of the top particular/public music schools in Portugal; home lessons and online lessons; many years playing on stages around the world and playing in many different music genres.
I have a Bachelor and Master Degree in Music, the conservatory course and I have attended many masterclasses during these years.
Each class has a duration of 1 hour and the lessons are for all levels: from beginner to pro. I speak Portuguese, Spanish and English.
