About Trisha
Hi, I’m Trisha, Ireland’s first Woman Grandmaster. I have represented Ireland in two Chess Olympiads, as well as in several international competitions.
I’m passionate about chess and have been playing competitively for many years. Alongside competing, I enjoy teaching and helping students improve their understanding of the game.
I have experience working with beginners and intermediate players, and I focus on making lessons clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s level. I believe chess should be both challenging and enjoyable, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students can build confidence and improve step by step.

I offer personalised chess lessons for beginners and intermediate players who want to improve their understanding of the game in a structured and enjoyable way.
As a Woman Grandmaster with international tournament experience, I focus on helping students build strong fundamentals, think confidently during games, and develop practical skills they can use immediately.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s level and goals. We can work on:
Opening principles and building a simple repertoire
Tactics and calculation
Middlegame planning and strategy
Endgames and technique
Game analysis to understand mistakes and improve decision-making
My teaching style is patient, clear, and supportive. I aim to create a comfortable environment where students can ask questions, learn from mistakes, and steadily improve.
