She is very approachable and friendly, making it easy to ask her questions without feeling dumb. Not only has she helped me with specific questions but she's helped to give me resources and strategies that I can use when drawing on my own. I had Colleen Rudolf as my professor for figure drawing at Rowan College at Burlington County. She was one of my absolute favorite professors in college, mainly due to her fun and kind personality. She is very understanding of her students' needs, always willing to help when a student is struggling, she encourages creativity and pushing boundaries, and praises her students' accomplishments.
Notable unique and enjoyable aspects to her teaching method were large scale group drawings, where each student takes a turn adding to a drawing she started. As well as drawing outside on occasion.
Figure drawing is one of the most difficult aspects of art to do correctly, and she made the learning process fun, easy to comprehend, and by the end of the semester her teaching was showed in the success of her students.
