About Cadence
"I have 4 years of experience teaching guitar and helping students develop their skills across different musical styles. I hold a BM in World Music with a focus on Guitar Traditions, which has given me a broad understanding of global guitar techniques and performance approaches. My teaching combines academic knowledge with practical experience in modern guitar styles.
I specialize in genres such as metal, shred, and progressive rock, helping students build speed, precision, and advanced playing techniques. I enjoy teaching techniques like fast alternate picking, complex rhythms, expressive solos, and creative approaches to guitar playing. My goal is to help students develop strong technique while keeping their own musical personality.
I work with both young learners and adult students who want to improve their guitar abilities and explore challenging styles. I remember a student who struggled with speed at first, but through focused exercises and consistent practice, they developed much better control and confidence. Seeing students achieve skills they once thought were difficult is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.
Every guitarist has a different journey, and I believe learning should be challenging but enjoyable. I create lessons that support steady progress while helping students discover their own sound. I look forward to helping you build your guitar skills and reach new levels of musical expression."

"My teaching approach focuses on preparing guitar students for real performance situations and confident group playing. Lessons include ensemble skills, band dynamics, stage presence, live performance etiquette, rhythm awareness, and communication with other musicians. I help students understand how their guitar part supports the entire group.
I teach practical skills that musicians need when playing with bands, from following arrangements to adjusting volume and tone during performances. For example, we practice playing along with backing tracks to develop timing and awareness before moving into full group settings. This helps students feel more prepared and comfortable when performing with others.
I also focus on building confidence on stage through performance exercises and rehearsal techniques. Students learn how to handle live situations, work with different musicians, and create a strong connection with the audience. My lessons are designed for performers who want to grow beyond practicing alone.
I support guitarists who want to improve their teamwork, musical expression, and stage confidence. My goal is to help you become a reliable performer who can adapt in any musical environment. With the right preparation and guidance, we will get you ready for the stage."
