About Sho
Although I have a BA from Montana State University and took many writing courses in the MFA program at the University of Montana, I didn't learn to write well until I started submitting work for publication.
My writing and photography have appeared in AARP The Magazine, Big Sky Journal, Fly Fisher, High Country News, Hollywood Reporter, (concealed information), Lee Enterprises newspapers, Mountain Outlaw (cover), Outside Magazine, People Magazine, The FlyFish Journal, and Western Art & Architecture.
I have essays and portraits in two books, and have written grant applications, press releases, web content, newsletters, exhibition catalogs, brochures, and promotional material for businesses and non-profits. My latest professional proofreading work has been on a scientific text book and a graphic (illustrated) memoir.
I love to teach and also am a PSIA-certified alpine ski instructor.
