About Kara
With 6 years of experience teaching chess, I’ve trained players of various skill levels—from absolute beginners to tournament-level competitors. I bring a patient, tactical, and engaging teaching style that builds logical thinking and personal strategy. My goal is to make chess both intellectually stimulating and enjoyable. I focus on helping students build a deep understanding of game principles, not just memorisation of moves. My teaching also includes psychological preparation and time management skills for competitive play. Outside of instruction, I regularly study grandmaster games and engage in online analysis communities. This continuous learning allows me to bring fresh perspectives to each lesson—so students are always growing and learning with current methods and proven tactics.

Chess lessons start with the foundational concepts of piece movement, basic tactics, and the principles of opening theory. Students quickly become familiar with common checkmate patterns, positional development, and essential board control strategies. As students advance, the course explores complex openings, mid-game planning, and advanced endgames. Concepts such as pawn structure, sacrifice play, and time management are introduced through puzzles, games, and annotated classic matches. Learners develop analytical thinking and learn how to calculate multiple moves ahead. Each session balances instruction with practical play, allowing students to apply concepts and reflect on decisions. Whether preparing for tournaments or simply looking to improve decision-making and concentration, the course empowers players with skills that go far beyond the board.
