About Zac

Hi, I'm Zac (also known online as "Spidey"), a high school student with a genuine passion for programming that goes far beyond the classroom. I've been coding for over 8 years, building everything from backend servers and Discord bots to physics simulations and IoT devices, and I maintain more than two dozen public projects that I've built from scratch.
Academically, I've earned a perfect score on the AP Computer Science A exam and scored in the 99th percentile on AP Computer Science Principles, alongside a 3.98 GPA in advanced coursework. But what I bring beyond test scores is real, hands-on experience, I've contributed to open-source projects and built working software that people actually use.
I understand what it's like to be a student learning these concepts for the first time, because I taught much of this to myself. That perspective helps me explain ideas clearly and patiently, without jargon or condescension, so you can build real confidence alongside real skills.

About the lesson

I teach coding the way I learned it myself, by building real things, not just memorizing syntax. My approach is hands-on: every concept is paired with a small project, whether that's a simple script in Python, an interactive page in JavaScript, or a walkthrough of how a basic AI model actually works under the hood.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what you're stuck on, moves into a guided example where we build something together, and ends with a small challenge you can finish on your own, so you leave every session having actually written working code, not just watched me write it.
What sets me apart is that I'm not teaching from a textbook... I'm a self-taught programmer with 8+ years of real project experience (backend systems, simulations, open-source contributions) and a perfect score on the AP Computer Science A exam, so I know both the fundamentals and how they're actually used in practice.
My lessons are best for beginner to intermediate students, middle schoolers through high schoolers, or adult beginners who want to build real coding skills in Python, JavaScript, Rust, computer science fundamentals, or an introduction to how AI and machine learning actually work.
