About Alexis
Bolero rhythms and the grit of flamenco are the sounds that shaped my musical heartbeat from childhood. You might be a beginner picking up an acoustic for the first time or a player returning to the fretboard after a long hiatus.
My 13 years of experience in the industry have taught me that learning the guitar should feel like a dance. Dealing with students from performance backgrounds to self-taught players who feel stuck, I focus on the joy of the instrument.
I earned my Bachelor of Music in Contemporary Music at AIM to build a bridge between my roots and formal theory. Having guided countless learners through barre chords and complex soloing, I know the pitfalls you face.
I work with advanced learners and absolute beginners alike to ensure your progress feels natural. My identity as a Latin-American-Australian musician informs every chord I teach you. I prioritize musical intuition over cold calculation. You will find that my methods keep you moving forward with rhythm.

I create custom backing tracks so you can practice your soloing without needing a band in your room. To be honest, I sometimes worry that people lose the rhythm by focusing too much on the theory. That is where my degree from AIM comes into play. Beginners and advanced players find my technical guidance for strumming and ear training is grounded in real world application.
